#196 – Unnoticed | B&W
by Trunks

Apologies for this week’s comic being uncolored. Y’see, I was traveling a lot, and I got home last night, and I’m still exhausted, and excuses excuses excuses. We’re getting ready for AnimeFest this weekend, where we’ll do panels where we talk about how awesome we are and try to sell you stuff. If you’re in the Dallas area, I expect to see you there.

#195 – $2 Tuesdays
by Trunks

Oh man, didn’t think I’d be able to get this one done in time. I spent the last week in Austin with some friends, it was rad. That aside, new comic, and it’s pretty NSFW, but then again, when is our comics SFW?

I know I’m always recommending stuff, but I really want you all to give Jonny Nero a shot. His music is fantastic, just got finished seeing him live. It’s on Bandcamp, so you can get it for free, but seriously, you should drop a buck or two for some fantastic jams.

Now in Stores
by Soto

Howdy folks, just hitting you guys up with another dose of Soto. The June issue of Now What? is in stores now and if you don’t happen to live in the greater ABQ area, click below for download.

In other rad news, on Sunday the 22nd I’ll be at the Albuquerque Collector Con at the Sandia Courtyard. I’ll be Hanging with Artassassin, Andy Kuhn, and the rest of the crew of 7000 B.C. (somewhere in the corner probably)

Should be pretty Awesome, so come and show some love.

Peace

#194 – Debates and Duties
by Trunks

New strip posted. Debates and duties? More like Delays in duties amirite? Oh I kill me. Sorry for the long wait, but I faced down the hardest class I’ve ever taken. Luckily, it’s the last class I had to take. Aside from two more duties I must fulfill, I am done with junior college and will have my associates in Digital Gaming and Simulation with a focus on programming. (congratulations can be sent to my e-mail lol).

What now? Well, more of this I guess. Big news is, Soto and I have been invited to AnimeFest, something I can’t begin to say how much excites me. I went a few years ago, and well, I’ve still got stories to tell from it. I hope this year will be just as awesome, and I hope those who are interested can make it out to Dallas for the first weekend of September.

I’ve also got some big news coming soon, but I won’t pop it until it’s ready. Until then, enjoy the new strip.

Naughty Bits
by Soto

In other news my friend has finally given me a taste of some of the work she’s doing for the twats Doujinshi. She also wanted me to let you know that she’s also open for commissions. She’s still a little shy, but she is willing to do the naughty. Her name is MIMI and hear her ROWR!!

Super Short Hiatus
by Soto

Hello again, welcome to this unprecedented third week in a row of missed updates.  Trunks is a little busy with finishing up clown college, so you should cheer him on, because I’m not gonna do it. But on the other hand he should be graduated this week and we’ll be back in business soon after.   To tide you over here’s May’s Now What for your reading pleasure/misery.

I’ll be here in the meantime to update again with little odds and ends as the week goes on.  That way you won’t feel as neglected.

Peace
Soto

Another missed update.
by Trunks

I promise this is the last one for a while. Last week I was in San Antonio, and I didn’t get back until last night, after a seven hour journey. I know that’s a shitty excuse, but these things happen. I’ll do my best to get it up later this week, and not miss next week’s update too.

In the meantime, why not check out this rad new shirt over at ninjabot that I drew?

No Comic Oh Noes!
by Soto

Howdy Folks,

Sorry about the bad news guys, but no comic this week.  Trunks is back in San Antonio sodomizing kittens or something and we didn’t get a chance to finish it up before he left.   I’d color it myself but me trying to work photoshop is a little like a white supremacist trying to learn portuguese so he can make more black friends.   But not to worry we’ll be back next week.

Anyway, I’d like to thank everyone who ordered a shirt from me and for generally being awesome.  So Thank you and for all those of you who haven’t asked for one yet.   What the hell are you waiting for?   Grab em while they’re hot!   And now to peddle some more crap to you guys.   For A-kon I also made a new 60 page Sketchy Lookin portfolio(Right) and a Quarterly compilation of my Now What? comic(Left). Soto_Books_2010

The portfolio contains roughly 60 pages of the creme of the crop and some other stuff that wasn’t total crap.   The Compilation collects january thru march of Now What along with a few extras.  So grab em while they last and I’ll see ya next time.

Peace
Soto

P.S.
Don’t be shy and comment on the boards.   It’s been pretty dead these last couple weeks. So go on, run us into the ground for not giving you anything substantial in this week’s update.

#193 – Take the Edge Off | Soto Shirts
by Trunks

New comic up. It’s Monday, so do you expect anything less? Of course not.

Not only that, but Soto’s still got some shirts left over from A-Kon, and as far as I can tell, these are really, really limited edition. As in they’re the only ones he’s gonna do.

If you’re interested, get a hold of Soto by e-mailing him at cybersoto@gmail.com. They’re $15 bucks each plus shipping, sizes vary, just ask. Each of them have a small Soto emblem on the reverse side, and they came out pretty damn well.

Discuss how badly you want these shirts but can’t afford them in the comments, folks.

192 – A Little Shopping
by Trunks

Man, so much to write about, but I’m not going to waste all of your time. First things first of course, new strip. I didn’t do a news post for the last one, because I of course want to stress that we have our first book available online now.

Second, I just got back from San Japan. It’s unfair to say, but it’s easily one of my favorite conventions, since it’s in my home town. I met a lot of great fans, saw a lot of great old friends, and finally got to see The Protomen live. They were so good, I’m gonna go see them again tonight at Super Happy Fun Land in Houston. I have a feeling Sure to be Ban’d this week is going to feature them.

Just a heads up, the next convention we’re going to be hitting up for certain is Epikon, also a San Antonio convention, January 8th, 2011.

And I’d like to mention, Soto and I rarely get to see each other unless it’s at a convention, so if there are any cons out there that’d like to have us, we’d like to be there. Feel free to e-mail me directly. And folks, if you want to see us at a convention near you, drop a line to the heads of the convention to hit us up.
