Howdy Folks,

Sorry about the bad news guys, but no comic this week.  Trunks is back in San Antonio sodomizing kittens or something and we didn’t get a chance to finish it up before he left.   I’d color it myself but me trying to work photoshop is a little like a white supremacist trying to learn portuguese so he can make more black friends.   But not to worry we’ll be back next week.

Anyway, I’d like to thank everyone who ordered a shirt from me and for generally being awesome.  So Thank you and for all those of you who haven’t asked for one yet.   What the hell are you waiting for?   Grab em while they’re hot!   And now to peddle some more crap to you guys.   For A-kon I also made a new 60 page Sketchy Lookin portfolio(Right) and a Quarterly compilation of my Now What? comic(Left).

The portfolio contains roughly 60 pages of the creme of the crop and some other stuff that wasn’t total crap.   The Compilation collects january thru march of Now What along with a few extras.  So grab em while they last and I’ll see ya next time.

Not only that, but Soto’s still got some shirts left over from A-Kon, and as far as I can tell, these are really, really limited edition. As in they’re the only ones he’s gonna do.

Man, so much to write about, but I’m not going to waste all of your time. First things first of course, new strip. I didn’t do a news post for the last one, because I of course want to stress that we have our first book available online now.

Second, I just got back from San Japan. It’s unfair to say, but it’s easily one of my favorite conventions, since it’s in my home town. I met a lot of great fans, saw a lot of great old friends, and finally got to see The Protomen live. They were so good, I’m gonna go see them again tonight at Super Happy Fun Land in Houston. I have a feeling Sure to be Ban’d this week is going to feature them.

Just a heads up, the next convention we’re going to be hitting up for certain is Epikon, also a San Antonio convention, January 8th, 2011.

And I’d like to mention, Soto and I rarely get to see each other unless it’s at a convention, so if there are any cons out there that’d like to have us, we’d like to be there. Feel free to e-mail me directly. And folks, if you want to see us at a convention near you, drop a line to the heads of the convention to hit us up.

Sorry folks, it’s black and white right now. Soto’s still in San Antonio, and doesn’t have access to a good enough scanner to get the print-resolution lineart to me to color, and I’m not willing to color the same comic twice. Go ahead and call me lazy in the comments section.

Next Monday might also be in black and white, but I’m not honestly sure what my schedule’s looking like right now. If it makes it up to you, you’re getting 3 Sure to be Ban’d strips this week, one on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. It’ll be a treat.

Soto and I were pretty busy last week, as well as during the weekend, so we didn’t get a new comic done in time. Sorry about that. I won’t leave you all in the dark, though, as we do have a new month of Now What ready for ya.

A-Kon was great, really great. We had kind of a crappy spot in the back, but we were between Two Lumps and Matt Herms, so at least entertainment was abound. I’m not going to go into it right now (still recovering from the convention), but the next couple of Sure to be Ban’d strips will tell the tales.

Today’s comic is posted and is fucking rad. But the creators here at Trunks & Soto would like to stress that smoking marijuana will not make you a martial artist, a badass, or a particularly good photographer.

This weekend, A-KON. We’ll be in Dallas, Texas, spreading love and art and dirty jokes a plenty. If you’re there, please, please, PLEASE come see us!

I’m outta town right now, and tried to finish up the lettering and all from my netbook on my parent’s dining table, so it may look a little different than the usual fare, but at least #186 is up.
