Hey folks, what’s new?

Besides us not updating. Sorry again but Trunks and I have been hella busy. With Trunks settling in Albany and me working on a another comic. So for the time being Trunks and Soto is gonna be on a short hiatus. Not sure when we’ll be back in business but hopefully soon. In the mean time just check out SuretobeBanned and ZombieBAD for various updates.

In other news, Holy Shit! Soto is in GANTZ!

Granted the way he’s drawn he’s built like a ethiopian, has sclera, and is japanese. Just let me project alright, it’s my one of my favorite comics and the character itself is pretty badass.

Hey folks, couple of quick announcements concerning this weekend. I got two a half shows this weekend, first off is the Roller Derby Championship bout happening this Saturday which you should already be aware of. Is happening downtown in the Convention Center my friend Dave and I will be sharing a table selling some merch, some new some old.

But what I’m really excited for is my little art show/ gallery opening I’m holding after the Derby. I’m having it at the Pizza place that’s hanging up my art this month. It’s an after party of sorts, but pretty it’s just me and bunch of folks hanging out having some beers. So stop by and check it out.

Then on Sunday, Lobo Anime & Comics will be holding it’s periodic mini convention, Collector Con. Small gymnasium and whole bunch neat comic/toy related stuff for sale. Also me and Dave will have tables there. So there you have it, a whole weekend of things to do. So get crackin!

Holy Crap, where the hell have we been? Sorry about really really long absence. Trunks has been travelling a whole bunch and I’ve been pretty busy with a dozen or so side projects. He was supposed to have a page done this week but I wouldn’t keep my hopes up. But hey it could be worse, I could be churning out a bunch of mediocre strips explaining or apologizing for missing an update. So in the mean times here’s some fun stuff happening this month.

First off, July’s Now What? with an amazing cover art by my good friend, Paul Ziomek. You can check out what he’s up to HERE to. It’s all part of my artist showcase where I display some fan/gift from some of my artist friends. If you’d like to submit something for my artist showcase, just shoot something over at Cybersoto@gmail.com or to my DA page Sotoman.deviantart.com and we’ll go from there. Enjoy the awesome art!

As usual you can also grab it over at Zombiebad or in any of the local comic shops in the greater Albuquerque area and help with the continuation of the strocking of my delicate ego.

Next, For my local crowd. My art will be on display over at this gnarly little dive over on Nob Hill. Place is called Slice Parlor. They’re hanging up my stuff for all of October, gonna try to organize some sort opening with food and drinks to draw a crowd and hopefully make some dough (Pun intended). Naw but seriously they make some great pizza and have a bunch of good beers on tap, so check em out.

Next on the Agenda, My buddy Dave ( Artassassin) and I will be attending the Duke City Derby Championship Bout on the 22nd as vendors. We’ll have a table with some exclusive prints, another run of my Chainsaw Girl shirts, and whole lotta badass babes on roller skates.

And finally in a desperate plea for help, I’m looking for some generous folks to help me out with a couple of big purchases I got lined up for this month. I’m opening up myself to commissions in order to help pay for this new wacom tablet I’ve had my eye on and Arkham City for my PS3.

Any little bit helps, along with every donation you’ll get a commission and the a full colored print of the image above. Which will the first piece I’ll work on with said tablet. Seriously I’ll take anything from a dollar to stock options. And you know me when it comes to commissions, nothing is taboo, especially weird deviant sex stuff. So show me what you got.

For a second time in two weeks, Trunks & Soto is on time. I wanna share the note that Soto e-mailed me with this page:

“Man your killing me with all those Sure to be Bland updates dude, people are gonna compare TWATS to a menstrual cycle”

I don’t want to get into beggary, so I’ll just leave this link here without too much explanation of how I’m going cross country and could use a buck or two if you’ve got it.

So this one’s about a month late. Soto sent it to me on the 13th of July, I got it colored, asked for a script, got it a week later with some changed art, and then all sorts of things happened in between. It seems like MY life is back in order, so as long as Soto keeps up like he has been, we’ll be back on regular updates.

Speaking of Soto, that guy has been crazy busy. Check out what he’s been working on.

And as a shameless plug, my spin-off project Sure to be Ban’d is still going, and we’ve started a podcast. Check it out, The Bancast.

Sorry guys, not sure where Trunks is on the latest, but in mean time I got some really awesome news. I’m headed to San Diego on Wednesday for Comic-con.

I’m not gonna have a table there or anything I’m just going as a fan and I know it’s not really awesome news for anybody else but me, but hey I’m really really excited for this. This is my first time so please be gentle Comic-con.

Holy Crap, this one even snuck past me. New comic yadda yadda, maybe we’ll have the other one up on time yadda yadda, and thanks for reading yadda yadda. Now on to more pressing matters.

Now I’m not really sure what your really supposed to get with new born babies but I think it’s somewhere on the grounds of diapers and pokemon cards.

Hey, thought I’d prove to ya’ll that we’re still alive here in good ol Twats Country. A-kon was pretty rad, made some dough, had a few laughs, and got to spend some time at home. Good Times Good Times for all. Trunks is still recovering, he picked up the Con Herps at some point and was out for most of last week. So new comics may be a little delayed, sorry.

In the mean time, thought I’d share this with you. My buddy Rich and his chicks (Roxxi and Lily) invented a new mixed drink after coming out of Hentai fest. It has been dubbed “The Tentacle Rape” and it’s awesome! You can find the aftermath photos on my facebook, if you look hard enough. And I’m prepared to share the recipe with you now, but be warned it’s pretty harsh and about as good going in as it is coming out. So here you go:
1 part Kraken Rum
1 part Creme de Almond schnapps
1 part sprite
and splash of cranberry juice

So there ya go, you can’t say I didn’t warn ya.
